An individual at Astroworld claimed, “Travis Scott was snatching people’s souls.”
The deaths of eight individuals at a Travis Scott concert have been spun into an unwieldy conspiracy about a satanic sacrifice and Kris Jenner’s birthday by conspiracy theorists.
Over the weekend, Scott staged his Astroworld Festival in Houston. On Friday night’s performance, which included performances from several high-profile guests (including Drake), tragedy struck when the crowd surged towards the stage, crushing some people and injuring dozens more.
Another appears to be another gruesome example of people being trampled and suffocated at a concert. Still, in today’s world, every major catastrophe is evidence of a giant conspiracy or something more extraordinary. So it’s sadly predictable that a slew of material has emerged suggesting that this weekend, a prominent rapper performed an open satanic display in front of thousands.
The numerology being broken down in this conspiracy, like all of these conspiracies, is unending. The time Scott published his apology on Instagram, Kris Jenner’s recent 66th birthday, and the fact that “Astroworld was precisely 66 months + 6 days after the founding of the Church of Satan” were all included.
Scott and his people didn’t make things any better with the symbolism and messaging they employed leading up to Astroworld. It was decidedly real or perceived in most cases. The large head Scott fans walked through (it’s the head from Scott’s album Astroworld) to get into the event is one of many examples. It resembles the famous Hieronymus Bosch painting Christ in Limbo. In addition, before the event, Scott tweeted, “Feast this Friday” to his followers.
