Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña stated, “the crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage, and that caused some panic, and it started causing some injuries,” at a press conference regarding Travis Scott’s show.
In the midst of the madness, seventeen individuals were rushed to hospitals, eleven experienced cardiac arrest, and eight people perished.
Houston, Texas’ Astroworld Festival was hosting about 50,000 individuals.
